Services & Places ecosystem
Provider discovery, specialist tools, and independent products for connected services.
Made for service providers and their customers.
Overview
This platform family is under active development. The scope below describes its intended design; deployment readiness and supported capabilities must be confirmed for each engagement.
Finding a business and working with that business are related needs. A directory can help someone discover a provider, but providers also need tools to handle appointments, quotations, customer details, and work in progress. Specialist products may then need workflows that extend well beyond a directory.
Baobab designed this ecosystem to support both reuse and independence. Services & Places combines provider discovery with optional operational tools. Efatawo focuses that product on fashion. Ready connects occasion-led content to provider discovery. StockLink Ghana has its own organisation, inventory, and trading model for pharmacy businesses.
What is included
Services & Places
Discover and manage providers
Services & Places lets visitors search providers and explore public profiles containing services, media, contact information, and business hours. Provider onboarding supports both self-service and assisted collection, while listing claims and administrative review connect profiles to their responsible owners.
Businesses manage their information through a dashboard. Verification and ranking controls support the directory's public discovery experience. Public search reads real provider records and applies filtering and ranking in the database, bringing the catalogue and the operational record together.
Efatawo
A focused fashion platform
Efatawo presents the Services & Places foundation through a fashion-specific brand and catalogue. Its industry scope is enforced by the public-platform configuration, while shared application routes deliver the appropriate branding, content, and discovery choices.
Fashion providers can use tools suited to how their work is organised. Customers can explore providers through the focused public experience, and a private fitting-profile workflow gives identity-owned customer information a separate place from provider-owned measurements.
Efatawo is an industry platform within Services & Places. Its distinction is the public experience and catalogue scope, not a duplicate provider-management backend.
Provider tools
Support work after discovery
Optional, entitlement-controlled plugins extend the provider dashboard:
- **Booking:** availability templates, generated slots, and appointment requests with confirmation and cancellation states. - **Measurements:** reusable measurement templates and customer fitting records for eligible fashion providers. - **Order and production pipeline:** a provider's internal view of work from quotation and deposit through measurements, production, fitting, balance, and delivery. - **Quote intake:** structured customer requests, provider responses, and an auditable quotation lifecycle.
These tools have different public and private surfaces. Booking and quote requests connect customers to a provider; measurement records and production tracking belong to the provider's internal operations. A plugin's availability depends on the provider's industry and entitlement.
Ready
Turn an occasion into a provider plan
Ready is an independent lifestyle product built around occasions such as weddings, graduations, church events, and photoshoots. Editorial guides connect inspiration to live-matched Efatawo providers rather than ending with a static list of suggestions.
Its “Build My Plan” flow uses occasion, budget, and city to present relevant provider options, with optional contact capture. Visitors move to a provider through an explicit handoff. Ready owns its application and funnel records, while drawing on shared taxonomy and provider-directory contracts.
This demonstrates a content-led acquisition product whose own data remains independent from the directory it recommends.
StockLink Ghana
Pharmacy inventory and sourcing
StockLink Ghana serves licensed B2B pharmacy participants with its own onboarding and review process. Organisation and facility records, approved supplier relationships, and a canonical medicine catalogue establish the foundation for trading.
Supplier SKU mappings connect local catalogue entries to shared medicine definitions. Batch inventory, availability search, and stock alerts support sourcing, while orders connect allocation, dispatch, receiving, and discrepancy handling. Expiry-aware allocation gives the product a domain-specific approach to stock movement.
StockLink is a separate product with its own roles, records, and backend. A public directory can introduce a business to the network, but directory visibility does not grant trading permissions or replace pharmacy onboarding.
Built with
Baobab modelled public brands, provider permissions, plugins, private customer records, and independent products as different concepts. That distinction makes it possible to reuse a directory application for Efatawo without forcing StockLink into a provider-plugin model.
The ecosystem combines Next.js applications, Hono APIs on Cloudflare Workers, PostgreSQL records, and dedicated Turso databases for selected plugin and funnel data. Shared packages provide validated contracts, taxonomy, branding, and directory access. Product-specific schema and authorization ownership preserve a path to independent deployment and extraction.
