Running a school involves more than keeping a student list. Staff collect fees, record attendance, prepare assessments, communicate with guardians, and make academic information available to families. Students also need a place to practise independently, and parents need a clear way to support that preparation.
Baobab's education ecosystem addresses these needs through focused products. A school can use a comprehensive administration platform, adopt a dedicated reporting service, or support students through an exam-practice application. The architecture preserves each product's own workflows and data ownership, so a shared foundation does not force every institution into the same operating model.

SchoolPadi
Daily school operations
SchoolPadi gives Ghanaian private schools a practical workspace for administration, with fee collection and guardian communication at its centre. Staff define fee structures by class and term, track instalments, issue receipts, and identify outstanding balances. Mobile-money and payment-provider integrations connect collection to the school's records.
Student profiles bring enrolment, guardians, and class assignments together. Teachers record daily attendance and enter assessment marks; configured grading scales feed report-card generation. Administrators can manage report access, while parents view balances and academic information through their own portal.
Communication is part of the operating workflow. Bulk SMS, reusable templates, fee reminders, and credit tracking help schools reach families through a channel they already use. Canteen enrolment, daily charges, and parent top-ups extend the same operational approach to meals. Financial and grade changes leave an audit trail, giving school leaders a record of consequential actions.
ExamPadi Reporting
Academic records and distribution
ExamPadi Reporting focuses on the journey from assessment data to a published report. Schools configure their academic structure, classes, subjects, and grading rules. Teachers enter scores, administrators review records, and families receive controlled access to published results.
The product supports branded academic documents and the storage of student reporting history. Report generation and payment-related follow-up are handled through background processing, so document production can be retried without requiring a teacher or parent to keep a page open. School, teacher, parent, and student experiences reflect their different responsibilities.
This focused product gives institutions a reporting option alongside SchoolPadi's broader school-management workflows. The two products have separate ownership and deployment boundaries; academic reporting is not presented as a second name for the administration application.
ExamPrep
Independent practice and supported learning
ExamPrep is a mobile-first preparation product for West African high-school students working toward WAEC examinations. Learners choose subjects, practise questions in exam sessions, review results, revisit their history, and track progress over time.
Family and school workspaces let adults support multiple learners and manage practice credits. Payment packs accommodate the product's Ghanaian and Nigerian audiences. An answer queue preserves submissions during interruptions and sends them when connectivity returns, supporting study on variable mobile networks.
The experience connects practice to feedback: a learner can see how a session went and use that information to decide what to practise next. Parents and teachers have a supporting role without needing to take over the student's session.
Built with
Baobab organised the ecosystem around product-owned feature packages and a shared set of carefully bounded services. SchoolPadi, Reporting, and ExamPrep each own their application logic; reusable identity, messaging, and interface foundations live outside those product domains.
Cloudflare-hosted applications serve the different web and API experiences. SchoolPadi uses a relational PostgreSQL foundation for school administration, while ExamPrep combines its database with Durable Objects for active exam state. Reporting has dedicated services and queue consumers for academic documents and payment follow-up. These choices match the workloads rather than treating every education feature as the same kind of operation.
